Winter

In winter’s cozy grip, we find our cheer,

As Christmas tiptoes near, our hearts sincere.

Our little one, a whirlwind of delight,

Plays with toys, imagination taking flight.

The house resounds with laughter’s sweet refrain,

A symphony of joy, a merry, bright domain.

The scent of pine and cinnamon fills the air,

As twinkling lights dance merrily, without a care.

I, nestled in a nook, a book upon my knee,

Escape to distant lands, where dreams run free.

The fire crackles, casting shadows on the wall,

And life feels like a warm, well-knit shawl.

Our child’s eyes alight with wonder and glee,

New toys from St. Nicholas, a gift-wrapped spree.

We count our blessings, health and love abound,

Grateful for the simple joys that wrap us ’round.

Yet, in the quiet moments, my gaze turns far,

To the horizon where uncertainties spar.

Next year looms large, a tempest on the rise,

And worry creeps, clouding hope’s azure skies.

But let us not forget, my dear, my friend,

That storms may come, yet strength we’ll still defend.

For laughter, love, and resilience shall prevail,

As we navigate the tides of life’s grand sail.

So, raise a cup of cocoa, clink it with a smile,

Embrace the now, let worries rest awhile.

In this snug haven, where joy and love entwine,

We’ll face the future bravely, one step at a time. 🌟🎄
