The wind pushes white tides over the sea,
Like my mind pushes thoughts toward you,
Storm clouds of sorrow cast shadows over me,
As thunderous remorse echoes, bitter and true.
The sun's warmth retreats from the darkening sky,
Just as joy fades when your memory invades,
The horizon blurs where the sea meets the lie,
And in the twilight, my forgiveness fades.
Yet, the lighthouse of hope flickers in the night,
Guiding lost ships and mending what was torn,
Perhaps in the dawn's forgiving light,
From the depths, a new understanding is born.
